Jacques Le Nantec

李能迪

Born in 1940 in NANTES (France).

At the age of 13, he started learning sculpture by himself while studying in secondary school (classical studies).

First one-man exhibition at 16, Galerie PEUPLE ET CULTURE, ANNECY, France.

Student in Architecture at the “ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE DES BEAUX ARTS DE PARIS”.

He enlisted as a volonteer for the war in Algeria.

From 1963 to1973, still self-taught, he went back to the study of sculpture, while working at different crafts and professions: interior design, cartoons, wax museums etc.. He also sculpted numerous busts and worked on government commissions.

Since 1975 he has become an editor of his figurative sculptures and took part in many professional shows and exhibitions:

From 1990, he has settled his own bronze foundry (lost wax process), with permanent exhibitions in France.

Le Nantec currently resides in Macau, Asia.
